The Simple Woman's Daybook - Jan 11, 2010

If you would to like join Peggy, Myself, and the other lovely ladies for The Simple Woman's Daybook - please head on over and link up!

FOR TODAY... from Meg's Daybook

Outside my window... I see snow, still covering the ground! Roads are cleared up really  well but you can still see the untouched snow in the trees on and on the ground around my house.

I am thinking... about how to live my life to the fullest this year, I want to set goals and meet them this year.

I am thankful for... everything that I have in my life - a beautiful family, a home, a car, food, and friends. I am also thankful that Spring is just around the corner!

I am wearing... a sloppy mess of whatever was clean this morning! :)

I am remembering... everything at the moment - I want to use last year as my guide of what NOT TO DO this year!

I am going... to Disney World in just a matter of months! Will be my 2nd time EVA and Mister Monster's first time! Can't wait to see how he does!

I am currently reading... nothing, sadly Ive been to busy to pick up a book and get started.

I am hoping... for a productive 2010 & to get where I want to be in terms of fitness and weight.

On my mind... that I'd rather be at home with Mister Monster than at work right now.

Noticing that... I keep looking for a new job that would allow me to stay home more with Monster, but not finding anything where I make even close to what I'm making now. Its tough.

Pondering these words... Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

From the kitchen... Still have Christmas all over it! I need to make a time to clean up all the decorations and recyle the tissue paper & wrapping paper!

Around the house... Mostly cleaned - I spent all weekend cleaning & making it look pretty!

One of my favorite things~ This week we shall say one of my favorite things are meeting new people. Tomorrow I have a mommy group that I am going to, where I will be the youngest person there but this will allow Mister Monster to meet new friends, more kids his age that he can play with outside of Preschool.

From my picture journal...

I just love sunsets! They are so beautiful & Tranquil!

The Simple Woman's Daybook - Christmas Edition

I can't believe it's Monday again, so you know what that means! It's time for another blog post for The Simple Woman's Daybook. I really look forward to reading these every week from others just like myself, it's a great way to make friends and I encourage each of you to head over to Peggy's blog and link up! Leave a comment and I'll make sure to do the same for your! Have a great day!

Outside my window... Nothing by gray skies again - but it's the first "official" day of Winter and we have a big winter storm forcasted for this entire week so maybe I can see snow too!

I am thinking... about how to start a candle business from my home to make some extra income - any idea's ladies? It would be much appreciated.

I am thankful for... Everyday that I have air in my lungs and everyday that I get to see my Mister Monster grown and change! He's almost an adult you know! Only 13 more years till he's in college... :(

I am wearing... My typical for work - nothing to fancy or cute.

I am remembering... Some great times with a really old friend whom Ive lost contact with. I messaged her on Facebook this past week and finally got a response - all apologies aside I feel a ton better now knowing that we have nothing left to apologize for and that we can hopefully one day rekindle our friendship.

I am going... start planning for my P90x fitness plan - starts on January 1st - hopefully I'll stick with it longer than 3 days this time around!

I am currently reading... nothing at the moment - any suggestions?

I am hoping... for a white Christmas

On my mind... How I can live every day with no regrets - and make each and everyday count.

Noticing that... This year is almost over - and what a year it has been! I transferred jobs, moved 2 hours away from my family, went to Florida, Mister Monster turned 5, and now it's already Christmas!

Pondering these words... "As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back. " - Unknown

From the kitchen... Homemande Oatmeal Raisin cookies, Hersey Kiss Peanut Butter cookies, and Snow balls

Around the house... some last minute present wrapping, cookie making and some cleaning

One of my favorite things~ Homemade meals

From my picture journal... Myspace Christmas Glitter Graphics

The Simple Woman's Daybook - December 14th

FOR TODAY December 14, 2009...

Outside my window...I wish I could say I saw beautiful snow, trees, sunshine  but nope! Not today - today I see grey skies and traffic driving by. I really miss living in the country, but in a sense I love living in the city and so close to everything!

I am thinking...How I wish it would snow & stick! I would like for Mister Monster to get to play in the snow.

I am thankful for...everything I have been blessed with - an amazing, smart, kind-hearted little boy, a handsome, amazing boyfriend, a healthy life, a home, a car, a great family and wonderful friends.

From the learning rooms...Teaching the meaning of Christmas to Mister Monster so he knows that Christmas is more than just exchanging gifts.

From the kitchen...Grilled cheese! And possibly some homemade cookies later - depending on my mood!

I am wearing...my Pj's - hey it's my day off! Don't judge me!!

I am creating...a mess currently - I need to pick up the house from Mister Monster's birthday party this weekend.

I am going...to the bank to deposit some money! Whoo!

I am reading..."the Host" by Stephanie Meyer

I am hoping...for a white (ice free) christmas.

I am hearing...silence!! Mister Monster is at Preschool & Boyfriends at work...it's just me until 3!

Around the house...cleaning & picking up from the party.

One of my favorite things...Hot CoCoa! I love homemade coco with marshmellows and a peppermint stick!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Mister Monster christmas Program at school, working everyday until Christmas Eve (thumbs down!) and finishing Christmas shopping!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...A beautiful show of the St. Louis Arch surrounded by perfect winter weather...Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it snow!!

Women's Daybook: Dec. 7th, 2009

FOR TODAY... from Meg's Daybook

Outside my window...Grey skies, frost on the ground, but no snow :(

I am thinking...of heading to Hobby Lobby to buy the materials to make Mister Monster's Treasure Chest for his treasure hunt activity for his Birthday Party on Saturday.

I am thankful for... Life - a dear family friend just passed away on Friday from a heartattack. What's crazy is that SAME DAY she got her hair done as usual and even went and played cards with her girlfriends. She was 80 years old, but what an amazing woman. She loves Christmas and I will miss seeing her this year at the Christmas Program at my grandmothers church. I have known her my entire life and it's just crazy how fast your life ends. She will be missed, but this year, she get's to spend Christmas with her husband, so that is wonderful!

I am wearing... The usual - food & marker stained pants & shirt. :) Love my Kiddo!

I am remembering... All the great times I had with Bernice! She will be forever missed.

I am going... to watch "Elf"  for the 10th time this month! Love this movie! :)

I am currently reading... "The Host" By Stephanie Meyer

I am hoping... for Jay's birthday to be a smash Saturday and for some snow this winter - No ice tho!

On my mind... How I am going to stay motivated for my diet/excersise plan in January?

Noticing that... I really need to get my nails done - or get them taken off!

Pondering these words... I don't really have any at this time - I'll work on it for next week!

From the kitchen... Breakfast Burritos! Yum!

Around the house... Tiday and very clean! Had guests over this weekend so I cleaned all day Friday! Now...how long will this last with a 5 year old?

One of my favorite things... Cabins in the Mountains in Autumn/Winter. Drinking coffee from the porch and just watching nature and listening to the sounds. No TV's in the background, No Radios or MP3 Players. Just Nature and myself.
