Join the Fun

Ok...my Best Bloggin Buddy, Amber,  just brought her awesome SWAP to my attention...I have joined some in the past...and they are a ton of FUN...but I must say...I am the most excited about this one!

We are swapping any pair (or more) of glasses, in addition to our favorite drink recipes. This recipe can be either alcoholic or non alcoholic, the choice is yours (this should go without saying, but if you are swapping an alcoholic recipe, you must be of age to drink, I don't want to see anyone being irresponsible here). I know I am going to end up getting my glasses from www.etsy.com (have you seen how adorable some of them are?!) but feel free to shop around. Also, feel free to get whatever type of glasses you want. You can either send the glasses and the recipe yourself, or if you are ordering glasses have them shipped directly to your partner and send a card with your favorite recipe.

Here is what is going to happen:
Sign up! You have until June 25th to sign up on either of our blogs. When you sign up, just let us know if you plan on swapping and alcoholic recipe or a non-alcoholic recipe (so we can pair you up respectively). You only have to sign up on our of our blogs, but please leave your email if it is not linked up to your blog (and honestly, it is just much easier to link you blog!)

Pair up! On Saturday, June 26th, Amanda and I will go through and create partners based on your drink recipe preference. We will then email you your partner's name and we will expect you to get in contact with your partner.
Find it! Start thinking about the recipe you want to send as well as the glasses. We are going to be extremely generous and you will have until July 23rd to mail off your glasses and recipe. We understand that some people will be having custom glasses made and this might take awhile, which is why we are giving you so much time. Please note, we are expecting each person to spend $20 - $30 on your swap partner. We know this is a lot of money, but think, you will be getting a set of glasses worth the same amount. Another note, we want to emphasize that you should send at least two glasses. Won't it be nice to have a cute set?
Write it! When you get your package, please dedicate a blog post to what you received from your partner!

All About MEme Monday: As Seen on TV

Over at Supah's Today its all about the informercials! We're supposed to list our favorite/worst "As Seen on TV" products - I'll be perfectly honest, if I can't buy it at the store - I'm not getting it! I've never bought anything off the TV! Most of the time I'll head over to Bed, Bath & Beyond to see if they have it, if not, I just forget about it! But I did however go on the website and these are some awesome products:

These are a huge scam people! They turn brown anytime a little moisture hits them, they do not actually pull any toxins *or cellulite* from your body! What a waste of money! And they just look icky - you got a poop foot!

Sheer genius with whoever invented this spray paint! Let's provide a quick fix to those men who are self conscience and will try ANYTHING to get a date. This is just out there! What do you do when its raining outside, like right now? Your hair would "melt" off your shoulders and onto your blazer! Not the best idea! :)

It's bad enough I have 2 boys in the house -the flagulance is not skim around here! But to add now, a piggy bank that you should quarters into it's but with a Rrriiiiiiipppppppp sound as a reward - HA! No thank you! However, the boys would think it was HILARIOUS!

These I actually bought, from Walgreens for $10 - they work alright, but my hair is thin & I could fluff my hair all day long, but I could still see the bumpit through my hair - so I've never actually worn them! They lay untouched in my bathroom cabinet!

I really don't order anything off the TV! My neighbor on the other hand has a problem...everyday she's getting at least 2-4 boxes from FedEx and has for the past 7 years her husband said! They don't even park their cars in the garage anymore because of all the UNOPENED boxes! I wonder what all she has in there - we could have like a "As Seen on TV" warehouse blowout one weeked right out of her garage! I bet she could make a couple bucks!

Meme Monday: Busted Bia

I can not & will not try to go against Supah Mommy's post today - it was worse than anything I have ever encountered with my car! (You poor blizzard stranded Yeti, you!!)

However I know that I can put the Top 5 times I have been pulled over so here they go: (There's only 3 - I've been a good lil driver.....HA....lack there of is more like it).

1.When I was 16, yep fresh out of driving school, I thought it would be a friggin great idea to drink Strawberry Boone's with my girlfriends and then attempt to drive 8 miles home. I ended up getting pulled over - by my cheerleading coach's HUSBAND! He knew me really well, as I was best friends with his son & daughter. I was mortified, I just knew this was the end of my life as I knew it. But, by the grace of god, He did not give me a ticket or haul me off to jail - he told me this was my 1 and ONLY "Get outta Jail free card" and packed me in his patrol car and drove me home. I never did that again! He scared the shit outta me, making me watch movies on his laptop the entire ride home about drunk drivers and watching their accidents. He let me off with a warning.

2. I got pulled over when I was 17 for driving to close one night. The old man was doing 12 in a friggin 40! I was pissed! I had places to go & people to see and this old man just wasn't moving fast enough for me. (I'm still a very impatient driver) I was getting ready to pass the old dude when I saw flashing Red & Blug lights in my review. "Shit - Damnit - Frikkity Frick" I pulled over and the officer was so kind as to let me know that I was to close to the car in front of me and that was considered tailgating (Thank's Asshole - I'm young, not a re-tard). But I batted my pretty eyes at him and told him that I was sorry and it would never happen again. He let me off with just a warning.

3. When I was 19 - I got pulled over for not having a license plate on the front of my car. In my defense, I didn't know you HAD to have a plate on the front, but I kept it in my trunk just to be on the safe side. So I told the office that I had it. He got it out for me and even screwed it on for me! Just let me off with just a warning.


And to this day - I have not been pulled over since I was 19 - even though I am def guilty of speeding (those little signs don't mean much to me). And when I was pulled over - I simply got warnings. So there is nothing on my record! Clean as a whistle! Innocent as a newborn! Fit as a Fiddle!
